Two months after the first stage of Ngāi Tahu Property’s Queenstown housing development, Te Pā Tāhuna, was officially opened and blessed, titles were finally issued last week.

On Wakatipu High School’s former site, the development, named ‘Takiwai’, comprises 27 units, including 10 KiwiBuilds.

All 20 residential apartments had sold by the time of the official opening, however four of the seven live-in units were still unsold.

The KiwiBuild one-bedroom units were capped at $500,000 and the two-bedders at $600,000.

Ngāi Tahu Property GM Blair Forgie says they’re pleased the unit titles have been issued and are excited for the new owners to move
in.

The next of 11 stages will comprise about 66 units.
