You really would read about it

As a ‘thank you’ present, the parents of two boys who finished at Frankton Kindergarten last year have donated a wooden book exchange library for the use of both kindy whānau and the wider community.

Six-year-olds Jordy Thwaites and Lochie Endres-Thompson cut the ribbon to officially open the Lilliput-like library this month.

Jordy’s mum, Erica Thwaites, whose daughter Piper, 3, is still at the kindy, says the boys’ parents supplied the materials and Lochie’s dad, Rob Endres, also built the facility.

Current kindy kids have also added their hand prints.

The library’s handily placed for the community to use as it’s right by a Queenstown Trails Trust trail.
