Street art’s being created at Queenstown’s The Ivy Box gallery tomorrow to support local suicide prevention and mental health support charities.

Gallery manager Sian Gillanders (right), with helper Dianne Austin-Wilson, says well-known Christchurch street artist Morepork will be producing art from 10am, with finished works auctioned off by colourful local realtor Brendan Quill at 5pm.

Morepork, also known as Morks, is one of the country’s last freehand tattoo artists — tattooing without stencilling.

The day will also feature live music, pizzas and a fashion and jewellery pop-up hosted by Kingston designer Jane Sutherland.

Donations are welcome throughout the day.

The Ivy Box can be found at 134 Park Street.
