Queenstown newborns are about to benefit from the efforts of Arvida Queenstown Country Club residents’ efforts.

The ‘Knit and Knatter’ group (pictured) have spent the past month keeping warm and busy, creating a massive haul of quality knitted items for the community, and donating them to the Baby Box Charitable Trust.

In just four weeks, the group has produced enough hats, singlets, booties and blankets to fill their clubhouse table — every item will go into Baby Boxes, delivered to all newborns in the Basin.

‘‘While we experience the colder months, our residents are keeping warm-hearted as they think of our Queenstown babies,’’ Arvida Queenstown Country Club village manager Maurice David says.

‘‘It’s amazing how many knitted items they can make, they’re very talented.”
