Queenstown golf pro Ben Campbell (pictured) has jetted off for another stint on the Asian PGA Tour.

The first of three consecutive events started last Friday at the $US500,000 ($NZ820,000) Indonesian Open, where he failed to make
the cut, coming in two-over-par with rounds of 74 and 72.

He’ll next play two of the new International Series events in Singapore and Korea, where there’s $US1.5 million at stake.

Since the Open Championship at St Andrews in July, Campbell’s been enjoying some downtime at home, doing a spot of fishing and some
tramping.

While disappointed to miss the Open Championship cut by one shot, he says he’s thrilled to have had the experience and is looking forward to the next time he cracks a major start.

After this stint, he’ll have a two-week break, then has four more consecutive events lined up.
