Laden with ’80s hits, Footloose: The Musical springs to life at the Wakatipu High School theatre from Wednesday till Saturday.

Based on an ’84 screen sensation, the hit Broadway musical follows Ren, who moves to a small town where dancing’s banned, and focuses on young people fighting for change.
Directing this production are school drama and music teachers Jake Hansen and Alison Price, respectively, supported by student directors Helena Hornbacher and Sofia Taquet, while the other student choreographer is Megan McCulloch.
