Wakatipu Croquet Club recently hosted the Otago Croquet Association champs for the first time at its greens in Queenstown’s Jardine Park.
From 19 entrants from Dunedin, Invercargill, Gore and the local club, the hosts provided one winner, Ian Ruddenklau, and three runners-up — Wayne Irvine, Murray Grace and Kirstie Brustad — in the three divisions.

Organisers of the tournament say the field was reduced as some players had to pull out at the last minute for ‘‘medical reasons’’.
