Even with the T20 cricket series wrapped up by the White Ferns, the Bangladesh women’s team are still hungry to show what they’ve got, making the most of their time in New Zealand.

Arriving in Queenstown for the final T20 match last week, the Bangladesh team set up camp at the Sir John Davies Oval for training ahead of their match last Wednesday, but still made time to explore the sights.

All-rounder Rumana Ahmed said they managed to get up the Queenstown’s Skyline gondola and took ‘‘lots of pictures’’.

She and Bangladesh captain, Nigar Sultana Joty (pictured), agree the Queenstown Events Centre ground’s one of the most beautiful they’ve been to.

It was the first time most of the squad’s visited the Whakatipu, which was particularly special for the young players in the team, including four from Bangladesh’s under-19 side.

Joty says they’re excited to be representing their country in the women’s game and hope young girls are inspired to play cricket as they were.
