Auckland indie-folk band Tiny Ruins play Queenstown’s Sherwood tonight during an eight-date tour releasing their fourth album,
Ceremony.
The band’s led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Hollie Fullbrook, who’s pictured with, from left, Alex Freer, Cass Mitchell and Tom Healy.
Ceremony, including singles Dogs Dreaming, The Crab/Waterbaby and Dorothy Bay, is the follow-up to 2019’s celebrated Olympic Girls — a finalist for the Taite Music Prize.
The band spans ‘‘delicate folk, lustrous dream pop and ebullient psychedelia’’, while this latest album embraces intimacy and connection.
The warm-up act, from 8pm, is Arrowtown muso Tom Maxwell — tickets $40 from bit.ly/3LMIRXo
