St John Wakatipu’s the recipient of this year’s $148,000 Impact100 Wakatipu grant.

The charity was selected at a members’ dinner in Queenstown last Thursday to receive the major grant — it’ll go towards purchasing a new health shuttle, with a wheelchair hoist, which transports clients of all ages to essential medical and health-related appointments, and a community support vehicle to support non-clinical St John activities, like the ‘friendship drive’ in the Whakatipu.

Runner-ups Life Education Trust — Heartland Otago Southland, Turn Up The Music Trust, Te Atamira and Youth Search and Rescue each received $5000.
