A hotshot’s top tips

Internationally-acclaimed photographer Birgit Krippner (pictured) presents a photography workshop in Queenstown this Saturday,
November 5, 2 till 5pm.

The workshop, at Starkwhite, on Earl Street, is open to anyone with a camera, or a smartphone with a camera — no experience is necessary.

She’ll explain how she connects with her subjects and deliver photos that seem impossible.

Krippner, who was born in Austria and shifted to New Zealand in 2003, and to Central Otago’s St Bathans last year, has exhibited internationally and won numerous awards.

Her work’s been published in the likes of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and she judges for the internationally-renowned ‘I-Shot-It’ best photo competition.

Her workshop’s a First Thursdays initiative, and is being supported by Te Hau Toka Southern Lakes Wellbeing Group.
