A cafe, wine bar and a small convenience store’s on the way for Queenstown’s Hanley’s Farm.

To be developed by RCL Group, on the corner of Jack Hanley Drive and Spur Ridge Rise — opposite the subdivision’s playground — the 170 square metre building will have capacity for about 40 people inside, and another 60 or so outside.

RCL couldn’t be reached for comment this week, but documents viewed by Mountain Scene say the building’s intended to be a ‘‘landmark’’ for Hanley’s Farm — its appearance will reflect the farming history of the site, and be of ‘‘woolshed aesthetics and materials’’, similar to Mt Rosa and Domaine Thomson wineries.

To be built by Naylor Love, the wine bar may either operate independently to the cafe, or as part of it; operating hours will be between 7.30am and 9.30pm.
