Synthony’s coming to Queenstown.

In a world-first, Synthony, which combines top electronic dance music DJs, a live orchestra and vocalists, led by a precision conductor Emma Featherstone, and immersive lighting, is heading to the mountains.

Hosted by DJ Shan, ‘Synthony in the Snow’ will feature Ella Monnery, Luca George, Cherie Mathieson, Sam Allen, Lewis McCallum, Iri Aumatangi and full sets from Nice ‘n’ Urlich and DJ Dick Johnson, at Coronet Peak on Saturday, August 19.

Duco Touring director David Higgins says it’ll be ‘‘incredibly exciting’’ to see the event come to life on the hill.

‘‘Synthony is a celebration of life, love and the extraordinary power of music.

‘‘We’re delighted to collaborate with Coronet Peak and Manuka Pharm in delivering Synthony in the Snow — it will be an unrivalled and unforgettable experience.’’

Coronet Peak ski area manager Nigel Kerr says he can’t wait to see the event unfold.

‘‘Synthony in the Snow is something totally unique and special for Coronet Peak and we’re really excited to be hosting a concert of such epic proportions.

‘‘We’re looking forward to being able to offer the first-ever event of this kind on snow — welcoming visitors and locals alike.’’
