Queenstown ski racer Alice Robinson claimed two silver medals this week during the FIS Australia New Zealand Cup giant slalom at Coronet Peak.

Robinson finished 0.05 seconds behind AJ Hurt (US) on Monday, before pipping her at the post on Tuesday to again claim silver, 0.68 seconds behind Ava Sunshine (US), with Hurt in third.

Tuesday’s first course was set by Robinson’s coach, Queenstowner Tim Cafe – the 21-year-old describes that one as “pretty gnarly”.

“I got caught in a gate and hurt my back, but I’m happy I regrouped and had a good second run to finish on the podium.”
