Seven Queenstown women bowlers and seven Arrowtown men will be battling it out at the interclub national sevens finals, representing Central Otago, in Wellington over the next three days.

The Queenstown team, third at the same tournament in Auckland last year, comprises, below, from left Debra Lloyd, Jane Anderson, Linley Carter, Kath Mann, Andrea Dowman, Christine Buchanan, Margaret O’Connor and Wendy Paterson (manager).

Arrowtown’s qualified for the sevens finals for the first time — their team comprises Peter Bain, Trevor Tomlins, Grant Hammond, Kelvin
Jackson, Peter Dunne, Joe Richards and Allan Brash.

Jackson and Brash were part of the Central Otago men’s team who last month made it to the semis of the National Intercentre event for the first time in more than 40 years.
