Multi-office rental agency under owner’s banner

A leading Queenstown/Central Otago property management company’s re-emerged this week under a new name.

The Accommodation Centre, whose four offices have operated individually as the Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wānaka and Cromwell Accommodation Centres, has rebranded to recognise it’s owned and operated by national real estate giant, Bayleys.

As a result, the offices are now trading as Bayleys Property Management Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wānaka and Cromwell.

According to a media release, the move’s been prompted by high tenant demand and growth projections for the Queenstown-Southern Lakes region.

‘‘It’s essentially business as usual,’’ overall GM Richard Hoskin says.

Bayleys Queenstown director David Gubb says the decision to bring the offices under the Bayleys banner reflects an appetite for clarity in a rapidly-expanding marketplace.

‘‘With rapid expansion across the Queenstown-Southern Lakes and Central Otago districts, it is an excellent time to capitalise on our brand presence to let clients know The Accommodation Centre is wholly backed by the Bayleys brand.’’

Hoskin says the company predominantly manages residential properties, ‘‘and we have a small number of light commercial properties we manage’’.

Across its offices, it employs 18 property management professionals, maintenance experts and support staff.

‘‘We’ve got 120-plus years of experience, knowledge and care in the property management sector,’’ Hoskin says.

The company originally started in Queenstown in 1984.
