Brace yourselves.

Queenstown’s welcoming about 2000 people this week end, here to participate in ‘Interhash’.

A biennial event for the Hash House Harriers, it involves global teams of non-competitive running groups dashing between pubs and bars.

It starts tomorrow night and continues till Sunday.

Mountain Scene understands Interhash is primarily based at the Queenstown Events Centre, which is closing the stadium and climbing wall from 11.30am today till 11.30am Monday and the dry-side male change rooms.

The event made headlines last year after Scene revealed some of the controversial ‘hash names’ used for registration, many of which were too blue for us to print.

At the time, NZ Hash House Harriers GM and Interhash event chairman Jack Lyness said the names were ‘‘tongue in cheek and not meant to cause offence’’.
