Four Queenstown private holiday homes have been named in the top 10 in New Zealand.
Now in its 13th year, Bookabach’s ‘Bach of the Year’ list is based on criteria including a 4.5 or higher star rating, positive guest reviews, and standout amenities.
Dalefield’s Speargrass Lodge
Coming in seventh place is Dalefield’s four-bedroom ‘Speargrass Lodge’, which also includes a pool, cedar spa, alfresco dining area and outdoor fireplace, followed by Queenstown’s ‘Castle Cliff Lodge’, a six-bedroom home which includes a sauna, spa, gym, and games room and bar (main image), along with an outdoor fire.
Lower Shotover’s Maunga View
In ninth place is Lower Shotover’s three-bedroom ‘Maunga View’, while ‘The Stowaway’, a four-bedroom lodge-inspired home overlooking the Shotover River, rounds out the top 10.
Queenstown’s The Stowaway
In first place on this year’s list is ‘Harakeke’, at Kapiti Coast’s Waikanae Beach, described as a remarkable four-bedroom home with direct beach access, which boasts inside and outside baths and a deluxe hot outdoor shower.
