Twelve weeks after being decimated by September’s massive storm, daycare centre BestStart Queenstown returned to its Hamilton Rd premises on Monday.
Manager Emily Moughton (right), who’s pictured with centre administrator Sophie Rosser, says the building’s been totally refurbished, ‘‘so
we’ve got new carpet, it’s new walls, new furniture, new playground, it looks absolutely amazing’’.
The littlies, she adds, ‘‘are absolutely delighted to be back, they’re so happy, they love the outside space’’.
She’s very grateful to the community, including landlord Trojan Holdings, for getting the centre back on its feet.
And while it was being repaired, ‘‘we were so lucky [Shotover Primary] generously let us use their building’’.
