The one drama among eight plays in Remarkable Theatre’s latest Pint-Sized Plays playwriting comp was announced as the overall winner at Queenstown’s Yonder last Sunday.

Entitled I Used to Be the Pretty One, it starred Victoria Mills, left, whose character mused about the ephemeral nature of physical beauty,
and Amalia Schroeder, who played an art gallery attendant — they’re pictured with director Angus Pettigrew.

The winning play — by Auckland’s Lindsay Brown — was chosen by audience vote over the comp’s four-night season.

In second place was The Interview, written by Auckland’s Sheree Veysey, and in third was The High Priestess and the Fool, by Elle Bell, also of Auckland.
