Q’town yoga business comes off the mat

After vacating its Gorge Rd premises in November due to the sudden news its building was earthquake-prone and unsafe to occupy, Queenstown yoga business Nadi Wellness has a new home.

Owner Sandi Murphy announced on Facebook she had been working on potential solutions for a more permanent relocation for Nadi Wellness and was trialling a ‘‘beautiful rural location’’ situated at 362 Speargrass Flat Rd.

The move was made after her previous building, signed off in 2011, was assessed at just 10% of ‘New Building Score’ — the minimum
standard is 34%.

Last month Murphy told Mountain Scene her wellness business could not take the chance and immediately after the news she evacuated
her staff, the clients and closed the business, temporarily.

‘‘It’s a very heavy hit,’’ she said at the time.

Nadi Wellness reopened last week and Murphy expressed ‘‘immense gratitude’’ to supporters for their ‘‘continued perseverance with
Nadi’s relocation evolution journey’’.
