There won’t be a bad seat in the house at tomorrow’s Twilight Opera, being held outdoors at Dalefield.

Organised by the Arrowtown Creative Arts Society (ACAS), in conjunction with Auckland Opera Studio, the opera’s being hosted this year at Springpointer Garden, owned by Sharyn and Grant Stalker.

ACAS chair Paul Rea says it boasts a large grassed amphitheatre, meaning everyone gets good views, there’s plenty of room to spread picnics out, and parking’s also easy.

‘‘Our previous Twilight Operas delighted audiences, so it’s no surprise there’s strong interest,’’ Rea says.

Taking to the stage tomorrow are sopranos Amelia Berry and Carla Camilleri, mezzo-soprano Tayla Alexander, tenors Oliver Sewell and Shiddarth ‘Sid’ Chand, and baritone Samson Setu.

Gates open at 70 Lower Shotover Road at 4.30pm tomorrow, with the concert starting at 6pm.

Tickets are available via Arrowtown Pharmacy or Eventfinda, $70 for ACAS members, $80 for general admission (kids free). Pre-ordered picnic hampers via [email protected]
