Our junior world champ

Queenstown teen Ruby Andrews is on top of the world.

In her first competition in two years after rehabbing a knee injury, the 17-year-old won the freeski slopestyle at the FIS Park and Pipe Junior World Champs in Switzerland  last weekend.

Ruby started her first run with a technical back swap on the rainbow rail, then laced together a solid jump section and finished off with a 270 onto the final rail.

The judges scored her 85.40, which remained untouchable for the rest of the event.

Fellow Queenstowner Harper Souness, 16, finished in fifth place overall in the freeski slopestyle finals.
