Former All Black Josh Kronfeld shows off some nifty footwork during rehearsals for hit TV One show Dancing with the Stars in Queenstown this week.
The ex-Otago loose forward pairs up with stunning New Zealand professional Latin dance champion Rachel Burstein for a new series that starts screening on Tuesday night.
Kronfeld jokes: “My dancing has been coming on slowly. It’s definitely a foreign thing to me.”
Softer side of rugby hard-man
Former All Black Josh Kronfeld’s 12-week pregnant partner Bronwyn Illingworth rehearsed being a mum while she watched her man practising to be a dancer in Queenstown this week.
Illingworth looked on from the sidelines with her friend, local modelling agency boss Tracy Cameron (far right), while holding Cameron’s 16-month-old daughter Neave on her knee at the resort’s QPACT studio.
Rugby hard-man Kronfeld showed his softer side as he was put through his paces by professional dance partner Rachel Burstein while rehearsing for the upcoming new series of TV One’s Dancing with the Stars.
Kronfeld reveals he’s been training for seven hours a day for the show and has spent the last week in Queenstown and Wanaka brushing up on his moves for the waltz and paso doble.
“We’ve been at this for three weeks and it’s been pretty much like a job,” he says.
“Rachel has been pushing me real hard but she’s been like part of the family.”
While here, Kronfield was also filmed doing a bungy jump for the first show in the new series, which airs on Tuesday.
