Christmas and Proms-style music features in Central Otago Regional Choir’s concert in Arrowtown tomorrow night.
Under conductor Richard Madden, the choir performs world-famous choruses including O Fortuna, from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana,
and Elgar’s Land of Hope and Glory.
They’re interspersed with carols from France, Germany and Britain.
The young guest artists include pianist Cameron Monteath, pictured, who placed third in this year’s Dunedin concerto competition.
The finale is the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.
Tickets are $30 from Arrowtown’s Lakes District Museum, Frankton’s Summerfields and Antidote pharmacies and Queenstown’s Wilkinson
pharmacy, or else cash on the door; school children free.
The concert starts 7.30pm.
