As the cost of living continues to bite, it’s a fair bet eager snowbunnies will be out for bargains during tomorrow’s annual Whakatipu Ski Club Sale.

The long-running event, a fundraiser for the club, is again being held at the Queenstown Events Centre, with doors opening to the public from 1.30pm till 3.30pm, with a $2 entry fee.

This year, the club’s introducing online registrations for sale items, via wsc.co.nz, at a cost of $3 per item registered.

Pre-registered gear can be dropped off at the Events Centre tonight, between 5pm and 6pm — direct credits for successful sellers, minus a 20% commission, will be processed in the second week of June.

Traditionally, over 2000 items are up for grabs, including used gear, ex-rental and demo stock, manufacturers’ run-outs, new gear and last season’s new gear, and special packages, while skifield reps will also be on hand to answer any questions.

Coronet Peak’s scheduled to open Friday, June 16, followed by The Remarkables and Cardrona Alpine Resort on June 17 and Wānaka’s Treble Cone on June 24.
