Canterbury indie pop duo Gibson XCVIII are playing Queenstown’s Yonder on tonight, celebrating the release of their new single, See You Again, which launched yesterday, and NZ Music Month.

The Queenstown stop’s part of a four-date New Zealand tour — the only other South Island gig was in Christchurch on Thursday.

Pronounced Gibson 98, the duo — Dean Gibson (pictured, right) and Mark Holwood (left) — formed in 2001, releasing their EP, Kelburn Paradise, that year.

Gibson XCVIII and fellow Cantabrians Single Malt are on from 10pm tonight (doors from 9pm) at the R18 venue — entry’s free.
