This former showhome has been bought for what’s believed to be the highest price paid for a property at Queenstown’s Lake Hayes Estate subdivision.
Local couple Melissa Davidson and Simon Smith sold their three-year-old home for $990,000, prior to the scheduled auction on August 18.
Davidson says they thought their property would fetch in the high $800,000s, so were happy to accept the higher offer from a local buyer.
The home - in the newer Hayes Creek part of Lake Hayes Estate – has four bedrooms, two living rooms and an extensive garden including native and edible plantings.
Brendan Quill, director of listing agency Hoamz, says it’s “a wonderful ex-showhome that had some extra bibs and bobs to it”.
“It’s on a well-established, beautiful section.”
Interior features include granite benchtops and a carpeted double garage.
