Southern Lakes community groups/organisations can apply for $1000 in funding for an event
or activity supporting mental wellbeing.

The ‘Connecting Communities’ fund’s been launched by the Te Hau Toka Southern Lakes Wellbeing Group, which will have three funding rounds per year.

Applications have to be aligned with one or more of the Mental Health Foundation’s ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’.

‘‘The continuing uncertainty and stress of Covid has taken a toll on our mental health, so this fund is designed to encourage people to find ways to connect, look after themselves and each other, and have some fun,’’ wellbeing group chair Adell Cox says.

Details are online at southernhealth.nz/tehautoka, with first-round applications closing November 22.
