Moving can be stressful, but for Queenstown’s Nadi Wellness it’s created a heaven-sent opportunity.

Late last month, the yoga, massage and holistic therapy centre moved from the top of the Brazz building, overlooking the Village Green, where it was established 12 years ago, to 55 Gorge Road.

‘‘The landlord [Warren Cooper] wanted the space back and we decided we would take the change as an opportunity to expand and create the kind of space we had always wanted to create,’’ owner Sandi Murphy says.

For Gorge Rd, which has four onsite carparks, Murphy’s purchased two salt float spas which the previous owners had, and added two infrared saunas and an ice bath.

‘‘We had to do a reasonable fitout to create a new yoga space, but some of the space — including showers and treatment rooms — was already set to roll, which is a bonus.’’

Murphy, who had a second studio at Frankton’s Remarkables Park for five years till Covid struck, is also pleased she could find another central Queenstown space.

‘‘It keeps the heartbeat of Queenstown alive.’’
