Flamin’ good, say taste testers

Sneddon and his business partners – wife Dawn Sneddon and fellow countryman Colin Russell – will officially launch Flame Bar & Grill at lunchtime tomorrow.

Russell concedes the start-up has had “teething problems” – including executive chef Sneddon bruising his heel from standing too long on his feet – but he says they’ve had rave reviews from groups invited to test the five different flavours of basted ribs.

“We’ve had comments like ‘It’s the best meal we’ve ever had in Queenstown’,” says Russell.

The Beach Street venue seats 50 and is open seven days.
