Boult, Angus run for mayor

Mayoral candidate Al Angus

Queenstown-Lakes District Mayor Jim Boult will have at least one challenger for the mayoralty come October.

Glenorchy’s Al Angus, who has run unsuccessfully for the mayoralty twice already, has again thrown his hat in the ring.

Incumbent Boult, who had already signalled he would stand again, officially submitted his nomination today.

Current Wakatipu ward councillor John MacDonald also officially entered the race today.

They join Arrowtown accountant Heath Copland, who is seeking election to the Arrowtown ward.
