The Westend in London, Broadway in New York are places where the very best stage shows have always premiered.

We take you there with this dazzling show Spotlight on Stage, featuring famous tunes from classics such as The Impossible Dream, Maria, Day by Day from Godspell, I won’t send Roses, I sit in the sun from Salad Days, plus medleys from Oklahoma and Mary Poppins to songs from modern classics like Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, Starlight Express and Tell me on a Sunday.

Operatunity director John Cameron leads a stellar cast of incredibly talented artists with accompanist Paul Carnegie-Jones, and singers Rory Nolan, Caroline Everitt, and Bianca Andrew in a show that will have you humming long after the final curtain.

Four new artists debut in this new season of Daytime Concerts. All are talented, vibrant performers with Hawkes Bay pianist Paul Carnegie-Jones accompanying, mezzo Bianca Andrew, a Freemasons Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist with the NBR NZ Opera for 2012/13 and one of New Zealand’s finest up and coming singers, soprano Caroline Everitt, who has been a soloist in such productions as Les Miserables (Cosette), Fiddler on the Roof (Tzietal) and Hot Mikado (Peep –Bo), and Rory Nolan, baritone whose recent credits include: Miss Saigon (NSMT 2011), Songs for a New World (NSMT 2011) and a leading role in Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds (2012). 

Spotlight on stage is coming to Invercargill on Monday 4th February 2013. The show starts at 11am, Civic Theatre, 88 Tay Street, Invercargill.

Mountain Scene has three prize packs to give away to this event that include a double pass to the show, a CD and a book. .
