Leggy Emma McLachlan will bring some sizzling Moulin Rouge glamour direct from Paris to Winter Festival.
The stunning Auckland dancer auditions at the world-famous French cabaret venue just a few days before she thrills Queenstown crowds at the Moulin Rouge-themed Masquerade Ball on June 26.
“It’s always been an ambition to dance in Paris and hopefully my audition there will go well,” McLachlan says.
“It’ll also be great preparation for the Queenstown show which has a very French feel to it.”
Her five-strong Kiwi troupe Diamond Entertainment joins all-girl singing trio Diva and festival favourites The Hitmen at this year’s event at the resort’s Millennium Hotel.
“We’ll be starting with some traditional Parisien showgirl dancing which is something we absolutely specialise in,” McLachlan adds.
“In the second half, we’ll be appearing with Diva and doing songs from the Moulin Rouge movie like Lady Marmalade and Rhythm of the Night as well as performing the can-can.”
Tickets for the Masquerade Ball cost $159 (including dinner) and are on sale now.
