Santa’s in town

Santa drops into his Queenstown grotto every weekend until Christmas Eve to hear children’s Christmas wishes.

Jolly Father Christmas sits on his grotto throne between 11am and 2pm Saturdays and Sundays.

The Athol Street grotto is open every day from 10.30am to 7pm – so kids can write letters to Santa and post them in Santa’s letterbox, with ‘deliveries to the North Pole’.

Visitors can also vote on their favourite Christmas tree, which have been artfully decorated by local businesses

Voting is by gold coin donation with all proceeds to Queenstown Lakes District Family Centre.

Admission to the grotto itself, created by Santa’s little helpers at Red Events, is free.
