Rock of ages comes to Queenstown

Classic rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd will headline next year’s Summer Concert Tour which comes to Gibbston Valley Winery in February.

The surviving members of the iconic 70s band will be supported by 80s power-ballad maestros Starship and British art rock group 10cc. 

The three bands will belt out classic hits such as Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now, We Built This City, Dreadlock Holiday and I’m Not In Love at the popular winery concert on Saturday, February 15. 

Promoters Greenstone Entertainment booked the groups following the success of this year’s concert  – headlined by Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Bachman & Turner and America.

Greenstone boss Amanda Calvert said “This will be Lynyrd Skynyrd and Starship’s first ever New Zealand performances. 

“So along with 10cc, fans can re-discover an incredible collective catalogue of hits and finally experience the excitement of seeing these bands live in the backdrop of some of New Zealand’s most stunning outdoor locations.”

Tickets are $99 – or $89 for locals.
