Truly a film to strike fear into the hearts of all parents, Project X shows what happens when three unpopular high school students decide to throw a party while the folks are away.
Thomas (Thomas Mann) is mild mannered and respectful with a crush on his friend Kirby, Costa (Oliver Cooper) is the brash one who always seems to try a little too hard to impress, and JB (Jonathan Daniel Brown) is just like Jonah Hill was five years ago but without the wisecracks. They’re pretty much invisible at school.
But on one night, that all changes when a birthday party arranged by Costa at Thomas’s house turns into a full scale riot after word spreads.
You will see a small dog breathing in blowbacks, mass drug taking, a crazed drug dealer with a flamethrower, a midget punching many men in the testicles and a grown man punching a 12 year old in the face.
Filmed on a hand held camera throughout, this had me and my cinema manager howling with laughter. Not very often that I get to say that I would see a film more than once but this was brilliant.
Funniest film I’ve seen since Bridesmaids. Go watch it. As long as you’re over 18.
