STAFF MOVIE REVIEW
By Sally Burgess, Technical Manager
Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl) is vacationing in Nice with her parents when she meets Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher). After a whirlwind romance they get married and move to the suburbs. As far as Jen is concerned, Spencer works as a building consultant, and apart from having an overprotective father (Tom Selleck) and an alcoholic mother (Catherine O’ Hara), life is pretty sweet. That is until she finds out that Spencer has a contract out on him for having left the CIA after they met in France.
Killers is one of those films where you can easily switch off and be entertained. The film is not laugh out loud funny, but the performances were enough to keep me entertained and there are plenty of action sequences. Catherine O’ Hara is a bit wasted in this but she’s one of my favourite comedic actresses, and as for Tom Selleck’s moustache…brilliant.
Leave your brain at the door for this one. You won’t need it.
