Marian Burns and her trusty violin have been fiddling their way across the world at 100 miles an hour, from the top of the Eiffel Tower to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with the Blarney Castle and the Grand Ole Opry in between. Marian has been taking the world by storm with her exuberance and passion for music. This dynamic New Zealand artist is racking up awards faster than her version of the Orange Blossom Special (and that’s damn fast!) taking home New Zealand’s prestigious ‘Benny Award’ at the 2012 Variety Artists Awards, Australia’s ‘Best Fiddler as a Soloist’ at the 2013 Golden Fiddle Awards and presented with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ upon celebrating 40 years of playing the violin.
The Daytime Concert Series, presented by Operatunity, runs over 200 concerts per year in 24 venues throughout NZ and has become the largest employer of professional singers and artists of its type in NZ since its humble beginnings 11 years ago. Each concert is a quality experience, presented professionally with a unique character of light hearted fun and laughter.
