It has been an absolute gourmet food lover’s delight over the past couple of days at the American Express Queenstown Winter Festival, with two sold out events at two distinctly beautiful venues.
On Sunday evening guests were treated to an amazing four course meal in the stunning surroundings of the Kawarau Falls Station Pavilion. Prepared by reknowned chefs Mark Sycamore of Blanket Bay, Martin James of Wai Restaurant, Stephen Mils of Encore Cuisine and chef Andrea Glover of Prime Restaurant, the menu focused on local produce and was matched accordingly with wines from Gibbston Valley.
MC’S for the evening were the ever joking Ward and Tutheridge as well as that there was a very special performance from the delightful Dame Malvina.
On the following day (Monday June 30) Millbrook Resort was the location and hosts of another amazing celebration of food.
Celebrated Chef Al Brown of TVNZ’S Hunger for the Wild’ charmed the 50 guests with his unique style of cooking demonstration.
In the gorgeous setting of Millbrook he chatted his way through 4 courses stopping to explain, answer questions and instil in his guests a passion for food.
Guests were treated to each course created by Al and cooked by the staff at Millbrook once again matched perfectly with wines from Gibbston Valley Winery.
