Deputy principal shines

Queenstown Primary School Deputy Principal Fraser Hill won the man of the match award with a fine double of 63 and 3 wickets for not too many as Frankton recorded their 4th win in 5 games against a spirited Jacks Point team.

Frankton batting on a very green pitch notched up 177 off their 20 overs with 63 from Hill and a hard hitting 67 from Si Hawken (7 sixes) making up the bulk of the total – a few late wickets kept the score below 200 which had been threatening on the ground with small boundaries.

In reply Jacks Point were right on target after 10 overs but regular wickets saw them end up at 9 for 148. Fraser Hill and Darren Hooper with 3 wickets a piece, Shaun McKone after another big night out took 2 as well.

A good all round effort and Frankton are looking forward to taking on co leaders Fernhill next week.
