Day 7 – Thursday, July 3

Wilkinsons Pharmacy Ladies Who Lunch
When: 12.15pm
Where: Kawarau Falls Station Pavilion
Tickets: $49

The perfect excuse for a long lunch. More FM’s Larry Summerville and Sarah Porter know how to have a good time, especially when the men are scarce. Expect lots of gossip, lots of laughs and a good feed.

Speight’s Dog Derby
When: 12.30pm
Where: Coronet Peak

Take a bunch of high-country farmers, a pack of hounds and a ski-slope and what do you get? Organised chaos and lots of laughs.

Coronet Peak becomes a mountain of madness as farmers and dog owners race (or get dragged) from the top of the mountain to the base building in the nation’s only dog derby on snow.

You really have to see it to believe it. Definitely worth taking a break from the slopes for.

Speight’s Dog Barking Competition
When: 4pm
Where: Village Green and Speight’s Ale House

From 4pm the town becomes filled with the sound of hounds barking, howling and yelping.
Once one starts, they all let rip. This is not for the faint-hearted or those who prefer cats. This is a great event for kids and anyone can enter their favourite pooch.

Skyline ‘Murder at the Casino Royale’ Vegas Style
When: 6pm
Where: Skyline Restaurant and Bar
Tickets: $65 – Sold out

Join in a Vegas-style party of epic proportions as the Skyline is transformed into a top casino.
The stakes will be high, the crowd strictly A-list and the ‘who-dunnit’ possibilities endless. Enjoy the theatrics over a delicious three-course dinner.

Lindauer Laughs
When: 7.30pm
Where: Kawarau Falls Station Pavilion
Tickets: $69 (incl platter)

Don’t miss the last comedy event of Festival. Te Radar, Jeremy Corbett, Dai Henwood and Justine Smith are charged with making you laugh until you can’t laugh anymore.

Open your mind ‘cos these guys are dab hands at taking things to the extreme.

All inhibitions should be left at home.
