Arrowtown-raised indie-rock songstress Sofia Machray’s just released another single.

The Untold was released on all streaming platforms last Friday.

A former Wakatipu High student, Machray, 22, has been based in Wellington, along with her support band, for the past three years.

Last year she topped alternative charts with her debut single, Handstands.

She explains her latest single draws on life’s conflicts and how they can stop you from doing the things you want to do.

‘‘For me, this song is a gentle reminder to not let the small things bother you and to accept there are some things you can’t control.

‘‘The bones of the song have been with me for about five years — as I’ve grown older with it, more elements have been introduced.’’

Machray launched her previous single, Milky Ways, in April.
