World Bar replacement The Find continues its run of high-calibre room-shaking nights with an up-and-coming Australian hotshot.
Yahtzel – aka Max Armata – is at the forefront of a new wave of innovative producer/DJs from across the Tasman.
And while 2014 is predicted to be his biggest year to date, last year was fairly spectacular for the 21-year-old and his engrossing ambient beats.
Debut single Girls featured on Flume’s BBC6 Radio mix in the UK and went on to rack up 375,000 streaming plays between Soundcloud and indie YouTube channel Majestic Casual.
But it was follow-up single High With Me that garnered the most attention. It harvested more than 2.7 million plays and was named one of IntheMix’s top tracks of 2013.
A 26-date Australian tour followed with performances at a string of major festivals, including Listen Out, Stereosonic, Field Day NYD and Future Music Festival.
New single The Only One is a collaborative effort with L D R U on Future Classic Records and a studio EP is in the works.
Yahtzel comes to Queenstown with The Wall Tour, supported by Platform 19, followed by Mitch Lowe and The Find resident Stubacca.
