Music lovers can rejoice – a second Shotover Sunshine Festival is on the cards for 2013.
The first open-air festival at Arthurs Point drew crowds of more than 3000 paying punters last Saturday for the 12 hour-long music bash.
Co-organiser Antonia Crowley wants the event – which went exactly as they’d planned – to be on the gig calendar every second Waitangi weekend.
“There’re definitely lots of things we can change to make it better – the buses are definitely one thing we know was a problem,” she says.
“We’ll have it nailed by next time.”
Crowley says a concert next summer – with an international headliner – could also be a goer.
