These four little leprechauns from St Joseph’s primary count the loot after helping fundraise for Tonga on St Patrick’s Day yesterday.

Pupils (from left) Sofia Taquet, 5, Jessie Kelly, 10, Daniel Swain, 5, and Levi March, 8, joined the fun as kids at the Queenstown school were encouraged to dress in traditional Irish green for the day and bring a gold coin for charity.

“The children love celebrating St Patrick’s Day because it’s a great excuse not to wear their usual school uniforms,” St Joseph’s principal Trisch Inder says.
