Outgoing Frankton Community Association leaders are calling for fresh blood to ensure the organisation doesn’t fall over.

Chairman Chris Cerecke and vice-chair Richard Stringer are standing down at next Wednesday’s AGM.

“With a few of the committee doubtful starters, it puts the FCA at risk of folding which would be a real shame,” Stringer says.

“Frankton’s an area where there’s so much growth and so much to come, so the association is an important watchdog.”

This past year, the association’s tackled the proposed Frankton golf course closure and the airport corporation over night flights and noise boundaries.

Wednesday’s AGM is at the Presbyterian Church hall on State Highway, 6, from 7.30pm.
