Pixar has been setting the benchmark for animated movies since the release of Toy Story in 1995. Since then they have gone on to make masterpieces such as Finding Nemo, Ratatouille,
and WALL-E.

Up is no exception.

Up is Pixar's tenth feature film. The film centres around a grumpy old widower named Carl Fredricksen and an overeager Wilderness Explorer named Russell who fly to South America in a floating house suspended from helium balloons.

Standing in the prestigious company of movies such as WALL-E and Toy Story, Up still manages to stands out from the crowd. With lavish amounts of colour, extraordinary special affects and hilarious dialogue, it is easily one of Pixar’s finest.

This is a movie that has something for everyone, and in true Pixar fashion this movie will amuse the kids and entertain the adults. Young or just young at heart, this is a must see.

This movie is now showing a Reading Cinemas in Queenstown. This review has been written and rated by Declan Doheny of Reading Cinemas Queenstown.
