It was developed as an affordable subdivision, but Queenstown’s Shotover Country is once again raising the roof — and eyebrows — with another $1.8 million-plus sale.
A quality three-bedroom home plus one-bedroom unit at 19 George Dr has sold off-market for a subdivision-record $1.865m, Walker & Co Realty’s Hamish Walker confirms.
‘‘It’s a sign of a hot market in Shotover Country,’’ he says.
The previous record of $1.85m was set just over a year ago, while the then-second-highest sale of $1.8m was achieved last October.
Walker also negotiated those two deals.
In the latest sale, he says the vendor wanted to sell but before the property was even brought to the open market he’d found a buyer from his database.
