Three cricketers went on a rampage with bat and ball during the Queenstown senior side’s exciting 50-run win over Blacks Hill last Saturday.
Queenstown, batting first in the 40-over Koford Cup game at Omakau, made 314 runs for the loss of only two wickets.
Max Collett and Sean Windle finished unbeaten on 132 and 126, respectively, often threatening neighbouring houses with their sixes.
Blacks Hill threatened with 250 for four, in reply, before Queenstown’s acting captain Fraser Wilson took a hat-trick.
Queenstown plays its second Koford Cup game against Dunstan in Clyde this Saturday. Meanwhile, six local players were in a Lakes team who beat Vincent in Alexandra, on Sunday, in an inter-districts game.
